About Us

In 2022 a group of Caroline Flack’s close friends and family organised a festival in her memory. The aim was to celebrate her life and to raise money for her favourite causes.

From early inception the idea grew and, with the help of some amazing sponsors, by the time Flackstock arrived it had become a 5000 strong event with 28 incredible acts on stage.

Flackstock 2022 was a magical day. It not only raised a huge sum of money but it shouted out loud about the need for mental health awareness and became a safe place where people felt they could talk freely about their own mental health.

On 24th July 2023 Flackstock will be returning to Englefield where our aim is to grow the event into the UK’s biggest and most accessible festival promoting mental health awareness.

Mindfulness

Flackstock’s dedicated Mindfulness area, sponsored by Mind, is a space for talks, sessions and performances dedicated to mental wellbeing. A safe space in the festival where people can go to better their own mental health.

In 2022 we had amongst others; yoga sessions; talks from our charities; a Q& A with suicide prevention advocate Ben West; Belief Coding with Jess Cunningham; and a performance of ‘Flesh’ from Olivia Squier.

In 2023 we are looking to expand our Mindfulness area with a larger tent and more on the line-up. Check our socials for details.

Charities

All the proceeds from Flackstock are divided equally between our 4 charity partners. In 2022 we raised a grand total of £325,000. Flackstock Charitable Fund is a restricted fund under the auspices of Prism the Gift registered charity number 1099682.

CHARLIE WALLER TRUST

The Trust was set up in 1997, after Charlie tragically took his own life aged 28 (find out more about Charlie). Charlie sits at the heart of our story, our vision and our purpose.

We work with young people, parents and carers, schools, colleges, universities and employers to help them develop the skills to take care of their wellbeing – skills that will last a lifetime. All our work is based on sound evidence. It gives people the confidence to look after their mental health. We provide mental health training and resources with a focus on children and young people.

This is the Trust’s 25th year and it is now one of the UK’s leading mental health charities.

For further information and resources please visit the Charlie Waller Trust

“The funds donated by Flackstock will help us to deliver the training, resources and guidance that parents and carers, schools, colleges, universities and workplaces, rely upon. At a time when the need for our support is greater than ever, we are so grateful for the support of Flackstock and everyone that embraced it.”

CHOOSE LOVE

Choose Love does whatever it takes to provide refugees and displaced people with everything from lifesaving search and rescue boats to food and legal advice. “Choose Love would not be where it is today without Caroline Flack and her never ending energy, love and support. She is in our values, our hearts and everything we do to support people across the world. Flackstock encouraged openness and dialogue around mental health. The proceeds from Flackstock have been used to support four of our incredible partners working to improve mental health of refugees on the move, providing essential services for women and unaccompanied children across the world.”

MIND

We’re Mind. We’re here to fight mental health. For support for respect, for you. We change minds across England and Wales by making mental health an everyday priority. By standing up to the injustices – in healthcare, in work, in law – which make life harder for those of us with mental health problems.
We support minds – offering help whenever you might need it through our information, advice and local services.
And we connect minds. Bringing together an unstoppable network of individuals and communities – people who care about mental health to make a difference.

"The donation from Flackstock 2022 has enabled Mind to help fund our Infoline service to answer another 1,000 enquiries. Our Infoline helps people find out more about everything from mental health problems to treatment options, every weekday and calls for support could for some people be truly lifechanging. This donation really isn’t just a drop in the ocean but will make such difference to the number of people we can support during a time where wait time for accessing support can be long .”

SAMARITANS

“People have always turned to us when there’s nowhere else to go. Right now, they need Samaritans more than ever, as the only charity in the UK providing 24/7 emotional support. We can’t do this alone. It’s only thanks to the incredible, vital support of events such as Flackstock that our services can reach the right people, in the right places, at the right time. Simply put, we couldn’t do it without you and funds raised at last year’s event are helping us to answer potentially life-saving calls, keeping our phone lines open and training new volunteers”.
