FAQ

You can find answers to the most common questions we get asked below. If you can’t see what you’re looking for, try checking out the FAQ on the South Facing site here.
How much money have you raised?

We raised a combined total of just over £690,000 since 2022. This is divided equally between our 4 charity partners. For more info on who they are check out our Charity Partners page.

How do I get to you?
South Facing Festival is held at the Crystal Palace Bowl in Crystal Palace Park, London SE19 2BA.

Check our location page for train and bus help.

Who is playing this year?
We announce our line up in the spring.

The best way to stay up to date is to join our mailing list by clicking the link at the top of this page or following us on Instagram. Once the line-up has been announced we’ll pin it to the top of our Instagram feed, or you can find it on our line up page.

What does a VIP ticket get you?
Access to our VIP area, from where you can make use of comfy seating (first come first served). There’s also a VIP bar, VIP toilets and a range of additional VIP stalls. Plus some VIPs hanging around.
Is Flackstock child friendly?
Yes! We love children.

There are children’s activities, and the show is always family friendly. Kids and babies of all ages are welcome. Children under 5 don’t need a ticket.

Honestly, Flackstock is the friendliest festival and every year we have people write to tell us how they find our festival more manageable with their family than any other.

Can I bring my dog?
No, sorry. No dogs except access dogs allowed.

Speak to our ticket agents for specific criteria.

Can I bring food and drink?

No, you can’t bring your own food and drink, but there is a wealth of food and drink on offer to cover all diets.

If you have special dietary requirements check out the info on our accessibility page.

Can I bring a camping chair?
No, sorry, the site don’t allow camping chairs. But you can bring a rug to sit on.
What are your accessible facilities like?
They are brilliant!

Just click through to the Accessibility page from the site menu to be taken through to all the info you require for access at South Facing Festival.

This will tell you how to apply for carer tickets, book the viewing platform, and about all the other facilities we have on site.

What if it’s raining?
Then we dance in the rain.

Bring waterproofs and your biggest smile. We don’t allow umbrellas so leave those at home or you will lose them at the gates.

What time do the doors open?
We’ll announce actual timings closer to the day – sign up to the mailing list for up-to-date info or keep an eye on our Instagram.

As a guide, the bands have always started at 4pm with doors opening approximately an hour before this. We finish at 10.30pm.

What’s the parking like?
There is no general parking at the festival site.

If you have to come by car you will need to find parking off site and make your way in by foot or public transport.

Public transport is by far the best way to get to the festival. Crystal Palace train station is right on the edge of the park.

If you require accessible parking check out the info on our Accessibility page.

How do I apply to be a trader?
Traders are organised by South Facing Festival.

We don’t have separate traders for Flackstock, unless you are able to offer a VIP service free of charge in order to help us raise cash. In that case you should definitely email us at flackstocktraders at gmail dot com.

Are you looking for performers?
We sadly don’t have room for unsigned music acts but we always appreciate listening to the stuff you send.

We are always happy to hear about any mindfulness practitioners. If you would like to be a part of our mindfulness offering email flackstockmindfulness at gmail dot com.

I have a question about my ticket
If you want to resell your ticket, ask about a missing confirmation email or have any other ticket queries then you need to go the customer services department of the ticket merchant you purchased your ticket through.
How do I contact you?

Just drop us a line at flackstock [at] gmail [dot] com.
